Noddfa is a church following Jesus Christ who long to see the people of LlÅ·n coming to know the Lord, and experiencing life in all its fullness with him.

OUR STORY

Noddfa's story begins many years ago in the prayers of God's people to see the Lord raise up a new work in Pen LlÅ·n. Steve and Marian had been praying for that new work for decades. Arawn and Anest moved to the area seven years ago, and had been praying for the same thing. From a distance in South Wales, Alun and Elen were praying that the Lord would work in the same way.

Two and a half years ago, Alun and Elen heard the call from God to move and minister to the people of Pen LlÅ·n. The Lord brought the six of us together to prepare to plant a church in LlÅ·n, and for the last two years, we've been laying foundations, growing in love as a core team and seeking the Lord in prayer.

In October 2025, we committed to life as a church together to see the name of Jesus lifted high in Pen LlÅ·n.

OUR CALLING

God has a threefold calling for us as his church;

  • to glorify, to love, to worship and to serve our living God who has first loved us (Matt 22:37, Rom 12:1)

  • to love our brothers and sisters in Noddfa through building one another up and serving each other (John 13:34-35)

  • to love our community through mission and to serve them, by proclaiming the good news to those who don't know Christ and to bless them with our lives (1 Thess 2:8, Gal 6:10)

OUR VISION

As part of the body of Christ in Pen LlÅ·n;

  • we desire to be a real presence in our community where we are known by those around us as neighbours and friends who work for their welfare, as Christ did whilst on Earth (Acts 2:47, Jer 29:7)

  • we desire that all who cross our path experience a warm-hearted welcome which reflects the way that the Lord has welcomed us (Matt 22:39)

  • we desire to be a church that offers sound teaching so that people come to understand the good news of Jesus Christ and grow in their knowledge of God (Titus 2:1, 2 Pet 3:18), and we desire to do so in Welsh, the heart-language of the vast majority of our community

  • we desire to be a hospitable church, sharing our lives with one another and those around us (Heb 13:2)

  • we desire to be a praying church, in worship before God and in intercession for the people of LlÅ·n and the world (1 Thess 5:17)
